Fiesta Broadway & Street Closures 4/24

2016 Fiesta Broadway Sunday April 24, 2016—Major Street Closures

Please be advised of the following event that will take place in the Downtown Area:

1. The 27th annual Fiesta Broadway, Los Angeles’ signature event for Cinco de Mayo, will take place this Sunday April 24th from 11 am to 6 pm.
2. Over 400,000 people are expected to attend this celebration.
3. Street closures will begin at 12 noon on Saturday April 23rd.
4. The following streets will be closed for this event: 1st St. from Hill to Main Sts., Broadway from Temple to 2nd Sts., and Spring St. from 2nd to Temple Sts.
5. In addition, 2nd Street will be closed from Hill to Spring Sts. due to Metro’s ongoing Regional Connector construction work.
6. Expect all streets surrounding the perimeter of this event to be jammed with very heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
7. Expect the 110 and 101 freeways to be impacted before and after the event
8. Both the Westlawn and Olive Street Garages will remain open for their normal business hours, however, alternative routes may have to be taken to access the garages.

Please plan your travel time accordingly and allow yourself extra time to reach your final destination.
